As baby boomers, we had balloon tired Schwinn's with big black metal carriers that hung on to the handle bars so we could deliver papers or carry our school supplies. Today's youth have made these types of bicycles into sleek, chromed works of art know as lowriders. It takes money, great imagination and patience to create such a work of art. You can see examples of these bicycles at The Abbotsford Collector Car Show and Auction. What ever happened to the Schwinn?
Pedal cars over the last few years have become the latest collecting craze of many baby boomers. The old pedal cars that we banged into trees and each other and tried to fix with a large hammer are now very expensive collectible toys. Up to twelve of these classical pedal cars from the past will be on display.
